How to step up your Ramen Noodles

Hey everyone! It's Alex here to discuss the very important topic of ramen noodles.

I don't know about you, but I absolutely love instant ramen. In times of quarantine, I will admit to making ramen for dinner. However, there are ways to upgrade your ramen that will make it so much better!
To make this beef ramen, I dumped out some of the extra water before adding the seasoning.

I also added some baby bok choy to cook with the noodles (spinach would also work fine) and topped it off with some sriracha sweet chili sauce.
Just the addition of a veggie and a hot sauce goes a long way!

One of my friends swears by shrimp ramen with a melted slice of American cheese on top.

I have searched the depths of the internet to find more ideas on how to step up your ramen....

  1. Add a scoop of peanut butter for a delicious peanut flavor.
  2. Add sesame oil and sesame seeds.
  3. Add beef to your beef ramen, chicken to your chicken ramen, etc.
  4. Add bacon (this is a no brainer to me... everything is improved by bacon)
  5. Add some cheese on top.
  6. Mix in some butter.
  7. Add an egg.
  8. Add your favorite vegetables.
  9. Add a quick squeeze of lemon or lime juice for a light, citrus flavor.
The Possibilities are Endless!
Let me know how you step up your ramen noodles!

    1. Hi Alex, I add my homemade meatballs to Ramen (either small or broken up) and a handful of frozen mixed veggies. Yum!
